Founded in 1889, the company is still a family-operated business today. Now in its 4th generation, it is run by Thomas Updike at its original location. Selected essential oils, herbal extracts and high-quality ingredients such as honey and fruit purée give all Kaiser candies their aromatic, unmistakable taste and a soothing action on the throat.

All processes are monitored continuously, from purchase, through production right up to packaging. These quality control measures apply to each one of the over 500 million candies leaving the Waiblingen factory every year.

The Kaiser company was and still is an important economic strength in Waiblingen and the surrounding area. Kaiser was already one of the five largest companies in Baden-Württemberg back in 1904. Today, Fr. Kaiser GmbH in Waiblingen employs approx. 120 employees.

The range of products currently comprises 24 different types of candy – ranging from classic hard caramels to filled, organic and sugar-free candies.

Kaiser candies are renowned across the globe for their soothing action, so it’s no wonder that they are also highly popular in Canada, Greece and Australia, just to mention a few countries. Approx. 15 % of all candies produced are exported.
